About Jane Sherwin

Jane Sherwin Jane Sherwin is a Senior Social Role Valorisation Trainer, having been involved in the teaching, learning and application of SRV since the early 1990s. She is a member of the Australian & New Zealand SRV Group.

Based as a consultant in Queensland, Jane has been involved in the lives of people with disabilities and older people since the late 1970s, in government and community services as an occupational therapist, manager, lecturer, and organisational change manager. She has 20 years experience in working with agencies to transform their way of working to achieve better lives, individualised responses and equal and ethical relationships between the service and the person and/or their family. Her social change efforts have used values based organisational improvement and transformation strategies, training, mentoring and supervision, evaluations and writing for various newsletters and journals.

Jane is committed to working at a grassroots level towards a system of responsive services and supports. She works at an agency level and directly with families and individuals. She works on matters to do with values based quality, person centred approaches and leadership development, and planning for better lifestyles and support arrangements with individuals.

Jane is well regarded for her teaching, writing, facilitation and planning work.
